The first affordable mid-rise multifamily building in Pennsylvania certified as Passive House, this project featured wood framing over podium construction. In our role as energy consultant, Innova provided design review for Passive House and Enterprise Green Communities program compliance, Passive House inspections and testing throughout construction and verification documentation.  Advanced energy conservation features include a super-insulated building enclosure, fully aligned control layers, triple-glazed windows, mini-split system heating and cooling equipment for dwellings, VRF heating and cooling for common areas, ERVS and condensing central water heating equipment. Earlier this year, this building won best senior housing development and was the overall winner in Affordable Housing Finance’s annual Readers Choice Wards for the nation’s top developments, and in 2017 received the Lehigh Valley Sustainability Award from the Delaware Valley Green Building Council.
