As part of the next generation of multifamily affordable housing projects seeking Passive House certification under Pennsylvania’s LIHTC program, this project is deep into the design phase with an early 2021 projected construction start.  Innova is serving as both PHIUS CPHC and PHIUS+ Verifier/HERS Rater on this project, thanks to the depth of our “bench” of CPHCs and Verifiers.  As CPHCs we bring our experience as Verifiers to the design phase, enabling the design team to anticipate the challenges that will be faced by the builder during construction.  This limits any surprise impacts to the construction budget and schedule and will allow the developer to get the dwelling leased up on schedule.
